What this notice covers
This notice is about this website, roote.co.tz. Our products each handle data under their own terms, and those are published inside the product, not here. If you are a panellist, a client or a contributor on one of our products, the notice that applies to you is the one in that product.
What we collect here
- What you send us. If you fill in the contact form we keep your name, email address, and anything else you chose to put in it, organisation, phone number, and your message.
- Your IP address, stored alongside a contact form submission. We keep it only to deal with abuse of the form.
- Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider, which include IP addresses and the pages requested.
We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this website, and we do not sell or rent anything we hold.
Why we hold it
To answer you. A message sent to us is kept so that we can reply, so that a colleague can pick it up if the person who read it first is away, and so that we have a record of what was agreed.
How long we keep it
Contact enquiries are kept for two years from your last message to us, then deleted, unless they have become part of a commercial relationship with a record of its own.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@roote.co.tz and we will answer within 30 days. You do not need to give a reason to ask us to delete a contact enquiry.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we will say so on this page and update the date at the top.
